Today’s “Just for Inspiration” is the freedom-giving idea of taking a social media break. Often times, Facebook and other forms of social media can be used as a form of numbing. If your online life is taking you away from the present moment or you find yourself still checking social media even when you are with the people you follow on social media, then you may want to take some time off just to re-engage your non-online world. The image used for this post is from FacebookSabbatical.com. How long could you go before needing to return to social media? 78% of the people in the U.S. have a social networking profile and most of those people are checking their accounts 17 times a day. That's some pretty heavy usage and some are going well beyond that mark. Some are using all that social media to stay updated and some are using all that data coming in as a way to numb out and avoid the present moment. If you could use a break, see if you can't recruit some friends to do it with you. Re-engage the world. Spring is almost here for many of you. Take the offline time you need. Wednesdays – Just for Inspiration
Sometimes we just need inspiration, to see the world through another’s lens, to feel the emotion connected to our work, or to find motivation to keep us moving forward. Wednesdays are about positivity, education, and encouragement. Comments are closed.
