As a Humanist Chaplain and Celebrant, Filtod Walker is happy to provide a non-religious or secular option for life's larger milestones. Weddings, vow renewals, funerals and memorial services, births, and renaming ceremonies can all be officiated. Travel more than 50 miles is possible with an added mileage cost. Weddings and Vow Renewals

Pre-Packaged or Standard Wedding - $450

If you are looking for a secular or non-religious wedding option, you have the opportunity to work with a celebrant and select from a number of pre-packaged ceremony format options. This includes:
  • The meeting to plan the celebrant and ceremonial portions of your service.
  • The walk-through and rehearsal of the ceremony itself with you and your selected participants
  • Performing the ceremony on the day of your event
  • Filing your paperwork with the county

Custom Weddings - Starting at $650

If you are looking for a secular or non-religious wedding option, you have the opportunity to work with a celebrant to create your own customized service. This includes:
  • The meeting to plan the celebrant and ceremonial portions of your service.

  • Performing the ceremony on the day of your event
  • Filing your paperwork with the county

  • The meeting to plan the celebrant and ceremonial portions of your vow renewal.
  • Performing the ceremony on the day of your event
  • A certificate that celebrates your vow renewal

Memorials and Wakes

Memorial or Funeral Service - $300

Many people's last wishes include not having a religious ceremony -- preferring instead for a secular or more non-traditional service. As you honor your loved one, you can work with a celebrant to create a meaningful memorial aligned with their wishes. This includes:
  • The meeting to discuss your loved ones wishes and to plan the service
  • Performing the ceremonies at the funeral home and graveside
  • Being present at the event venue prior, during, and after to provide support

Wakes - $150

Many people's last wishes include not having a religious ceremony -- preferring instead for a secular or more non-traditional service. As you honor your loved one, you can work with a celebrant to create a meaningful memorial aligned with their wishes. This includes:
  • The meeting to discuss your loved ones wishes and to plan the wake
  • Performing the ceremony and leading sharing
  • Being present at the event venue prior and up to an hour during to provide support

Births and Adoptions - $125

If you want to celebrate the birth or adoption of your new child in a non-religious or secular ceremony, you have the option to work with a celebrant to do so. This includes:
  • The meeting to discuss and plan your ceremony
  • Defining your commitment to parenthood
  • Performing the ceremony on the day of your event​

Renaming Ceremonies - $100

Selecting and changing to a new name is an incredibly powerful and validating event in the life of a trans or gender non-conforming person. As you share this event with the people you're closest to, you have the option to work with a celebrant to do so. This includes:
  • The meeting to discuss and plan your ceremony
  • Selecting which tradition to draw from or creating your own tradition
  • Performing the ceremony on the day of your event
