Mindfulness Meditation Day Retreat Saturday, 9/3/17, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
Unplug from technology and spend the day learning more about mindfulness meditation and its practice. In this day long retreat, you learn the core principles of mindfulness, forgiveness, and compassion meditation. You also have the opportunity to see how mindfulness can be applied to your everyday life.
Meditation is one of the more powerful ways to increase our self-awareness and create greater freedom in our actions and choices. In this class, we talk about meditation's role in our daily life and have the opportunity to practice many different types of meditation so participants can try out several different forms.
Mindfulness Meditation: Special 4 Week Class Fridays, 7/7/17 - 7/28/17, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Mindfulness is the core skill that centers around your ability to be fully present in the current moment. Mindfulness increases awareness of your body and emotions, and provides greater insight into how your thoughts and mind work. Merged with Emotional intelligence training, you learn additional skills on how to better identify, work with, and consciously create your emotional responses.
Deep Dive: Laughter Yoga Wednesday, 5/31/17, 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Laughter Yoga isn't a pose-based practice like traditional yoga. Rather, it's a way of using conscious laughter to simply accept with positivity all the ways that life is difficult. Participants sit in a circle and share all the ways their life is trying, difficult, or just plain aggravating and then release that tension and concern using the power of laughter. By laughing at what is most difficult in our experience, it can help us move from denial and anger into acceptance.
Deep Dive: Lovingkindness Meditation Saturday, 5/20/17, 1:30 - 3:00 pm
Lovingkindness Meditation, at its core, cultivates feelings of love and compassion for ourselves, the people we are close to, strangers, the people we have strong difficulties with, and the world as a whole. It's a core part of meditation practice and it's one people don't often realize they need until they see the benefits of working with it.
Hand Sew Your Own Meditation Cushion Saturday, 5/20/17, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
