Mindfulness Meditation increases awareness of our bodies and emotions, and provides the tools for greater insight into how our minds work. Developing mindfulness has been shown to increase empathy and compassion, curb stress, boost working memory, increase mental focus, and reduce someone’s emotional reactivity.

This retreat is at the White Oak Community Room, a primarily glass-walled room overlooking the park. You will need to coordinate your own transportation to and from this event. Meditation cushions will be available for use during class. Weather permitting, you will be able to spend time outside.
* Avantis is our caterer for this event and a vegetarian lunch of veggie lasagna, garlic bread, and Caesar salad will be provided.
